Delete your Pool HQ data
01There is no account to delete
The current version of Pool HQ does not require or create an account. There is no sign-up, no sign-in, no password, and no profile held for you. Nothing identifies you to us.
Your pool record lives on your own device: your pool setup, your test results and their dates, tasks and maintenance history, recommendations, health scores and treatment history, and a pool photo if you added one. We do not receive any of it, and there is no copy of it on our servers to delete. Deleting it is therefore something you do on your device, in the app, and it takes effect immediately.
02Delete everything stored on your device
In Pool HQ, open Settings, scroll to the Danger Zone, and choose Erase Pool & Start Over. The app offers to export a backup first; you can decline it. Confirming returns the app to its first-run state.
Erasing removes all of this from your device:

The weather cache, which holds your ZIP code and the place name matched to it.
The backup reminder, which holds when you last exported or dismissed it.
The install identifier described in the Privacy Policy.
Two things are deliberately kept, because neither is pool data: the marker for which release notes you have already seen, and the record of which version of our legal documents you accepted and when. The acceptance record is your own evidence of what you agreed to, so we do not erase it on your behalf.
Two honest notes, so nothing here surprises you:
Deleting a single test or treatment inside the app hides it and stops Pool HQ using it, but the underlying entry stays in your device's storage and will still appear in a backup file you export. That is deliberate, so an accidental deletion can be recovered. Erase Pool & Start Over removes all of it.
Backup files you exported are your own files, wherever you saved them. Erasing the app's data does not reach into your downloads, your photo library or your cloud drive. Delete those copies yourself if you want them gone.
Uninstalling the app also removes its local storage, but Erase Pool & Start Over is the route we support and the one we can describe precisely.
03Ask us to delete feedback you sent
The only thing we hold that came from you is a message you chose to send through Tell Pool HQ. To have it deleted, email support@poolheadquarters.app and write Privacy request in the subject line.
So we can find the right message and not delete someone else's, tell us roughly when you sent it, and either the email address you gave us or a phrase from what you wrote. We will delete both our stored copy and the notification email that went to us, and confirm to you when it is done. If we cannot identify your message from what you can tell us, we will say so rather than guess.
You can use the same address to ask what feedback we hold from you, or to ask us to correct it. We will not treat you differently for asking.
04What we hold, and what we never receive
Only feedback is stored by us. When you send it, we receive and keep exactly this: the category you chose and the message you wrote; your app version and the screen you were on; basic pool setup, meaning volume, sanitizer type, filter type and surface type; whether you are on a phone, a tablet or a computer; and your email address only if you chose “Yes” to being contacted. It is stored by us and emailed to us so we can read and act on it. We keep it while we are still working on what it raised, we review stored feedback periodically, and we delete what we no longer need. Section 03 is how you ask for yours to go sooner.
These are not retained by us, so there is nothing of them to delete:
Not stored by Pool HQ
Your test results, your history and your pool photos. They never
leave your device, and they are not sent with feedback.
A test-report photo you import. It is sent to be read into numbers and is neither stored nor
logged by us at any point. The reading service is asked not to store it; as the Privacy
Policy says, that service may still keep request data for a limited period for service and
safety purposes, which is not something we can delete on your behalf.
Your ZIP code, when weather is on. Our weather function does not store it. It is cached on
your device only, and erasing removes it.
The install identifier. It is used only to form a short-lived, in-memory counter that limits
request rates while your request is handled, and it is never written to our storage or saved
with your feedback.
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising or for anyone else's own purposes. Pool HQ contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier and no third-party tracking, and this page sets no cookies and runs no scripts.
