Pool Headquarters

A simpler, smarter way to care for your pool

Pool care without the guesswork.

Test your water. Pool HQ tells you what matters, what to do next, and when to check again.

Pool Headquarters is available now on the App Store and Google Play.

  • A clear amount How much, not just which direction.
  • Retest reminders It tells you when to check again.
  • One timeline Every test and treatment in order.
  • Plain answers Why a reading matters, in words.
The Pool Headquarters Control Room: today's status reads Ready to Swim, above a routine care list and the pool health score.

The gap

You already have the numbers.

A test kit gives you five or six readings. It does not tell you which one matters today, how much of what to add, or when to test again. That last mile is where pool care gets complicated. It's exactly where Pool Headquarters is built to help.

How it works

A smarter pool in three steps.

  1. Tell Pool HQ about your pool

Volume, sanitizer, surface, filter and equipment. A guided setup you do once.

  2. Log your water test

Type in what your kit or strips already told you, standing at the water. A pool store report can be photographed instead.

  3. Get clear direction

Pool HQ reads those numbers against your pool, says what to do, and schedules the follow-up test.

The Control Room

One screen, opened once a day.

The Control Room answers the question you actually have: is the pool ready, and if not, what do I do about it? Status first, in plain words. Then the short list of things worth doing today, and nothing else competing for attention.

  • Today's status, stated rather than implied.
  • Routine care you can mark Done or Later, each with a Why? you can open.
  • Good to know notes when a reading needs context rather than action.

What to do next

An amount, not a direction.

"Lower your pH" is not something you can act on standing at the water with a bottle in your hand. Pool HQ works from your readings and your pool's volume, gives you a quantity, tells you when to test again, and shows what it expects the water to look like afterwards.

  • A quantity, tied to your pool's actual volume.
  • A retest date, not "later".
  • The balance it predicts once the change lands.
  • And when nothing needs doing, it says so and explains why.

Always check the amount against the product label. The label is the only thing that knows the strength of what is in your hand.

A results screen showing a chemical recommendation, a retest day, the predicted water balance after the change, and a plain-language note explaining why free chlorine needs no adjustment right now.

Why, and what happened

Nothing is a black box.

Guidance you cannot interrogate is just a number from a stranger. Every recommendation opens into the reasoning behind it. The Lab explains what each reading is, why it matters and how it behaves, at whatever depth you feel like going. And the Timeline keeps the record, so the pool's history is something you own rather than something you try to remember.

The Lab in Pool Headquarters: a Pool School card, a Search The Lab field, a Continue learning row, then the Pool Chemistry list with Free Chlorine, pH, Total Alkalinity, Cyanuric Acid and Calcium Hardness, each labelled with its category and how long it takes to read.
The Lab: what each reading is, why it matters, how to keep it in range.
The Timeline listing water samples with their readings, chemicals added, maintenance done and a rain event, newest first.
The Timeline: every test, dose, task and rain event, in order.

HQ+

Built to get better the longer you use it.

Every test adds to your pool's history. We're building HQ+ to turn that history into deeper insight into how your pool behaves over time.

  • PlannedLearn your pool's patterns
  • PlannedDeeper trends over time
  • PlannedMore from your pool's history

The HQ+ features described here are planned and not available today. Pool Headquarters 1.0 is free and complete on its own.

Where the line is

What Pool HQ will not do.

Worth saying plainly, because a product that tells you to add chemicals to water people swim in should be clear about its own edges.

  • It does not replace the label

Pool HQ's suggested amount should always be checked against, and used consistently with, the product label.

  • It does not test your water

You test. Pool HQ interprets. The readings come from your own kit, your strips, or a pool store report you bring in.

  • It does not handle everything

Unusual or persistent problems, equipment faults, and anything that looks wrong in person are worth a professional's eyes.
